Things to Do Around Boise
August 21st, 2016
Boise’s a great place and there’s so much to do here year-round! Summer might be winding down and the snap in the air will be coming soon, but there’s still a lot to choose from:
--The Idaho Shakespeare Festival offers more than just Shakespeare, with stage productions of “My Fair Lady” and “Forever Plaid,” as well as a comprehensive art outreach program for people in the Boise area.
--Enjoy 180 miles of trails in the Boise foothills on your bike – it’s just one of the many things that you can explore through Boise’s park system. You can head all the way along the greenbelt to Lucky Peak, or you can detour to Boise’s restaurants and bars along the river!
--Take in Art in the Park in September, with more than 200 artisans from around the country along with music, food vendors and a kids’ area. You can even bring your dog to this fun event!
--The Outlaw Field concert series is there for the big-name national acts, while the weekly Botanical Garden Concert Series is a great way to take in the low-key, local acts…and a beautiful place to relax and generally chill out year-round.
